Between Wynwood’s galleries and the Design District’s showrooms, Midtown Miami is an easy place to end the workday. Tap 42 Midtown Miami has been on NE 1st Avenue since 2017, and happy hour runs Monday through Friday from 3 to 6 pm at the bar.

  • $2 off craft beer, including Funky Buddha 42 Hazy Daze and Andrews Avenue Lager
  • $3 off wine and craft cocktails
  • $4 off spirits such as Grey Goose, Patrón, Bacardi, Maker’s Mark and Tanqueray

Bar bites

The happy hour bar bites menu has small plates made for sharing: Philly Cheesesteak Egg Rolls, a quarter rack of Baby Back Ribs, Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail, Spicy Salmon Crispy Rice, Truffle Street Corn Guacamole, Short Rib Sliders, Crispy Asian Calamari and flame-grilled wings.

Close to Wynwood, the Design District and The Shops at Midtown

Tap 42 is at 3252 NE 1st Avenue, near NE 32nd Street. The Shops at Midtown Miami, anchored by Target, are about a 7-minute walk north. The Miami Design District is about 8 minutes on foot, the Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami about 13 minutes, and Wynwood Walls about 15 minutes. Monday Night Burger Bash takes $5 off The Prohibition, The Big Smash or The Drunken Goat with fries when you order a drink, from 4 pm to close (dine-in only). On Wine Wednesday, bottles of wine are $20 off with an entrée. Metered street parking is available on NE 1st Avenue, and The Shops at Midtown Miami’s self-park garages are nearby, including the Mid Block Garage at 113 NE 32nd Street, steps from the restaurant.
